1 Injured in Car Accident on 15 Freeway near Kelbaker Road in Baker
San Bernardino, California (April 15, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a car accident on Friday night near the town of Baker.
At around 8:26 p.m., the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene of a traffic collision on the 15 Freeway near the Kelbaker Road exit.
A black SUV and a semi-truck were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
Two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated.
One person was airlifted by Mercy Air #24 to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment of unspecified injuries.
A second person was transported by ground ambulance.
