1 Sustains Minor Injuries in Fremont Car Accident on 880 Freeway and Thornton Avenue
Fremont, California (August 19, 2023) – According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, multiple vehicles resulted in minor injuries on Friday afternoon in Fremont.
The accident happened at around 3:41 p.m. on August 18 on the southbound 880 Freeway, just north of Thornton Avenue.
Police confirmed three vehicles, including a white Honda Civic and a Hyundai Elantra, were involved in the accident. The Honda sustained moderate right front damage while the Elantra overturned on its side following the collision.
Responding emergency crews attended to at least one individual injured in the collision. The total number of victims was not immediately released.
The vehicles were blocking lanes 1 and 2 following the collision.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident location.
The incident remains under investigation.
