1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County
Santa Barbara, California (July 13, 2023) – At least one person died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on Thursday afternoon near Lompoc.
The fatal crash was reported around 3:46 p.m. on Highway 101 near Jonata Park Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Toyota pickup truck and a van were involved in the accident. The impact of the crash sent one of the cars off the roadway and up an embankment.
CHP says the driver of a van was killed in the afternoon crash. The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
A female passenger in the truck was transported to Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
