The CHP said an Econo-type passenger van was stopped in the traffic lanes without any illuminated lights when it was hit by a truck tractor-trailer
Willits, CA – One person was injured in a crash involving a big rig in Willits on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Highway 101 near MPM44 at about 1:38 a.m.
The CHP said an Econo-type passenger van was stopped in the traffic lanes without any illuminated lights when it was hit by a truck tractor-trailer.
The driver of the van was flown to Enloe Hospital in Chico with major injuries.
The driver of the truck was unhurt.
A section of the highway was shut down for the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
