Siskiyou County, CA – One person was killed Tuesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 139 in Tulelake.

The fatal collision occurred at about 2:57 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026, near the Tulelake Agricultural Station.

Initial reports indicated multiple vehicles were involved and both highway lanes were blocked. One vehicle caught fire, and another flipped to its side.

Authorities said at least one person died in the crash.

The roadway remained completely blocked while crews investigated the scene and worked to clear the wreckage. Traffic control was requested at both ends of the crash area.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
