Garden Grove, CA – A 66-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Garden Grove, authorities reported.

The accident was reported around 3:48 p.m. on September 29, 2026, on Chapman Avenue near Euclid Street.

Garden Grove police officers responded to the scene and found the man suffering from serious injuries. The officers assisted the victim before Orange County Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the pedestrian to UCI Medical Center.

The man later died from his injuries while receiving treatment at the facility.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian was hit by a Chevrolet Suburban under unclear circumstances.

The driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
