Michael Rigsby Killed in Concord Motorcycle Accident on Highway 4

Rigsby was pronounced dead at the scene by the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office.

Concord, CA. – A motorcyclist who died in a collision in Concord on Monday afternoon has been identified.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on westbound Highway 4 just east of the Port Chicago Highway at around 3:05 p.m.

Michael Rigsby, 47, was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a sedan and a Ford truck. The man was ejected and was struck by one of the vehicles.

Rigsby, a resident of Brentwood, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office.

The drivers of the two cars were not injured.

CHP does not suspect drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.

Rigby was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
