Fremont, CA – A motorcyclist is dead after a traffic collision that happened Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Fremont.
The accident happened around 1:40 p.m. on September 23, 2026, at Hastings and Keats Streets, as per the Fremont Police Department.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police believe a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Hastings when it collided with a passenger car turning left from Keats onto southbound Hastings.
Responding police officers and medical personnel found the rider lying down unconscious. The victim was rushed to a local trauma center, where they later died from their injuries.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area of Hastings Street between Country and Eggers drives due to lane closures.
