Multnomah County, OR – A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning in a collision involving a motorcycle and a Kia Sportage in Multnomah County, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. on September 22, 2026, at the intersection of NW Germantown Road and NW Kaiser Road, just north of the Bethany area.
The preliminary investigation found that a 2011 Kia Sportage was traveling westbound while the motorcycle was heading eastbound when the two vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the motorcyclist’s identity as family notifications remain pending.
It was not immediately clear if the driver of the Kia, a 45-year-old man, was hurt in the incident. Authorities have not released additional information about his condition.
Impairment does not appear to have been a factor in the crash, according to investigators. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene following the crash. The East County Vehicular Crimes Team also responded and is leading the investigation.
