Chino, CA – One person was killed following a two-vehicle collision on the westbound 60 Freeway in Chino, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP incident log, the semi-truck drove up an embankment before crashing into the Lexus. One of the drivers was transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. It was not immediately clear which vehicle the deceased was in at the time of the crash.
The crash prompted a closure of the Central Avenue on-ramp to westbound SR-60 and the No. 4 lane of the westbound freeway. A SigAlert was issued shortly after 7 a.m., and all lanes at Central Avenue were temporarily stopped.
The incident remains under investigation.
The crash happened just minutes after another deadly collision that happened along the same stretch of the 60 freeway at Mountain Avenue. A motorcyclist was killed in the crash.
