Phoenix, AZ – Three people were hospitalized after a collision involving a light rail train that happened Monday morning near an intersection in central Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident was reported around 9 a.m. on August 31, 2026, near 7th Avenue and Camelback Road.

The collision involved two cars and a light rail train.

Paramedics transported the driver of one of the vehicles and two light rail passengers to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The eastbound light rail service was disrupted by the accident, but the westbound service remained operational.
