Investigators reported that a black Toyota collided with a silver Mercedes SUV and the impact sent at least one of them crashing into three parked vehicles and a fire hydrant.

Los Angeles, CA – At least one person was killed in a head-on collision that happened in the Koreatown neighborhood early Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The wreck happened in the area of Eighth Street and Ardmore Avenue at around 12:35 a.m. on August 27.
Investigators reported that a black Toyota collided with a silver Mercedes SUV and the impact sent at least one of them crashing into three parked vehicles and a fire hydrant.
The driver of the Toyota was pulled out of the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene. She was only identified as a 30-year-old woman.
The driver of the Mercedes was taken to California Hospital Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
According to LAPD, impaired driving was suspected to have played a role in the incident and the second driver was later taken into custody for DUI.
The California Higwhay Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
