Samdeta Sehic, 54, was killed in the inicident that happened at around 2:15 p.m. August 26, on 55th Avenue and Van Buren Street, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Phoenix, AZ – The woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon has been identified.
Samdeta Sehic, 54, was killed in the inicident that happened at around 2:15 p.m. August 26, on 55th Avenue and Van Buren Street, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Authorities reported that a car was trying to make an improper U-turn when it got into a collision with a semi-truck.
The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene and one person was extrictated from the wreckage.
The driver of the car, a 57-year-old man, and his passenger were both rushed to hospital with critical injuries.
The passaenger later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. She has since been identified as Samdeta Sehic.
The operator of the big rig was uninjured in the incident and was not suspected to have been impaired.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.
