Phoenix, AZ – One person was injured in a motorcycle collision that happened on US 60 in Phoenix on Wednesday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

At around 7 a.m. August 19, authorities were called to the scene of the incident on Grand Avenue near Encanto Boulevard.

Investigations revealed that a motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in the accident. The collision occurred under unclear circumstances.

Crews from the Phoenix Fire Department arrived shortly after and attended to the rider.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.

Roads were shut down in the area as authorities investigated the incident, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
