According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. on August 15, 2026, at U.S. Highway 395 and Auburn Avenue.
Adelanto, CA – Eight people were hurt, and five of them were hospitalized, after a multi-vehicle accident involving an AMR ambulance that happened Saturday night at an intersection in Adelanto.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. on August 15, 2026, at U.S. Highway 395 and Auburn Avenue.
The collision involved five vehicles, including an American Medical Response ambulance.
All five vehicles had eight occupants, including a 42-year-old female and two teenagers, a 26-year-old Perris woman, a 20-year-old Adelanto man, a 46-year-old woman from Victorville, and two EMTs.
The occupants were evaluated for injuries at the scene. Five of them were transported to area hospitals with varying injuries.
The two EMTS attended to the needs of the injured before first responders arrived despite being involved in the crash.
Police officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
