Hesperia, CA – Five people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision involving a San Bernardino County Fire ambulance that happened Friday afternoon in Hesperia.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. on August 14, 2026, on Main Street east of E Avenue.

The ambulance was responding to a call with a crew of three people, including a paramedic student, when it was involved in a crash with a 2014 silver Ford Mustang and a 2025 Jeep Wrangler.

Four ground ambulances responded to the scene after the collision. The occupants of the ambulance, the male driver of the Ford, and the female driver of the Jeep were all transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators first closed the eastbound lanes of Main Street and later the westbound lanes, restricting traffic flow in both directions while crews and police officers worked the scene.

Details about the cause of the accident and whether the ambulance had its lights and siren activated at the time of the crash were not available.
