Oxnard, CA – An Oxnard man was critically injured after colliding with a car Friday morning at an intersection in Oxnard, authorities reported.
The accident took place around 6:23 a.m. on July 24, 2026, at Ventura Road and Doris Avenue.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, a 52-year-old man from Oxnard was riding a 2013 Harley-Davidson Road King southbound on Ventura Road in moderate traffic conditions. At the same time, a 33-year-old Oxnard man was driving a 2024 Nissan Altima heading northbound on Ventura Road.
Authorities said the motorcyclist split the traffic lanes as he approached Doris Avenue, and the Nissan driver made a left turn at Doris Avenue, causing the rider to hit the car broadside.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike, sustaining critical injuries. Paramedics transported the man to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was listed in critical injuries.
Oxnard PD is investigating the crash and does not believe impairment was a factor.
