Van Nuys, CA – The 16-year-old boy who was killed in a vehicle collision with an e-bike in Van Nuys on Tuesday morning has been identified by the authorities.
Dallas Howard was killed in the collision that took place in the area of Roscoe Boulevard and Noble Avenue at around 10:23 a.m. July 22.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Howard was riding a homemade e-bike in the area when he cut across two lanes and collided with an SUV. The exact circumstances that led up to the accident were not immediately established.
Howard was reportedly declared deceased at the site of the collision.
The LAPD reported that the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.
The cause of the deadly crash is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
