Portland resident Jacob A. Jones, 32, according to the Portland Police Bureau, died following the accident that happened at around 9:12 p.m. on July 13, near East Burnside Street and Northeast 24th Avenue.
Portland, OR – The man who was killed in a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle Monday night in Portland has been identified.
Portland resident Jacob A. Jones, 32, according to the Portland Police Bureau, died following the accident that happened at around 9:12 p.m. on July 13, near East Burnside Street and Northeast 24th Avenue.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Jones was riding a motorcycle that was involved in the crash with car near the intersection. Police are still trying find out what exactly led up to the the incident.
Jones was declared deceased at the scene of the collision. No other injuries were reported.
The driver of the involved car remained at the scene after the collision.
The accident caused a closure of East Burnside Street between Northeast 26th Avenue and Northeast 22nd Avenue as authorities investigated the incident.
Additional information on the collision were not immediately available. The cause of the deadly motorcycle accident is under investigation by the Portland Police Bureau.
