According to police, a man driving a passenger car failed to stop and slammed into the rear of a semi-truck near the intersection.

Phoenix, AZ – A man was killed in a collision involving a big rig early Monday morning in Phoenix, according to a report by the Phoenix Police Department.
At around 2 a.m. on June 29, authorities responded to reports of a major collision in area near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street.
According to police, a man driving a passenger car failed to stop and slammed into the rear of a semi-truck near the intersection.
The Phoenix Police Department arrived within minutes and the pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. Identification details on the deceased motorist were not immediately available.
The driver of the big rig , who was not injured, stayed at the site of the collision and was cooperative with law enforcement.
