Los Angeles, CA – A 34-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal three-vehicle crash early Saturday at an off-ramp to the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the deceased as Zachary Fugate, 34. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on the West Eighth Street exit from the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway and involved three vehicles.
The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been released.
One additional person was injured in the collision and was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Authorities did not disclose the individual’s condition.
The West Eighth Street off-ramp was temporarily closed while emergency crews responded and investigators processed the scene. The closure was lifted later Saturday morning.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
