Redding, CA – 4 Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on Lake Boulevard near Oasis Road

4 Hospitalized after Redding Car Accident on Lake Boulevard near Oasis Road

Redding, CA – Several people were injured after two vehicles collided and the impact sent one of them into an occupied bus stop in Redding on Friday night.

According to a report by the Redding Police Department, the wreck took place at around 8:57 p.m. June 26, in the area near Lake Boulevard and Oasis Road.

Investigations revealed that a 1997 Honda Odyssey was heading south on Lake Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Oasis Road.

The Odyssey continued traveling south and collided with a 2016 Mitsubishi sedan that was pulling out of the Dollar General located just south of the intersection. The impact pushed the Odyssey onto the sidewalk and it slammed into a bus stop.

Police reported that two males were at the bus stop and were hit by the Odyssey. The two were transported to Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, Michael Wyckoff, 41 and a female passenger in his vehicle, were taken to Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center and Shasta Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

The driver of the Honda, Anthony Martin, 23, was transported to Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center for treatment. He was later booked into the Shasta County Jail on multiple charges including DUI.
