Long Beach, CA – 2 Women Hurt, DUI Suspect Arrested after SUV Crashes into Home on Bort Street

According to police, a man was driving an SUV in the area when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a nearby home.

Long Beach, CA – Two women were injured, and a DUI suspect was arrested after an SUV slammed into a home in North Long Beach, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

The incident happened around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, on Bort Street just east of Long Beach Boulevard.

According to police, a man was driving an SUV in the area when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a nearby home.

First responders found the left front quarter of the car embedded in the home.

Two women who were inside the home at the time of the accident were injured by flying debris.

The women were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was medically cleared and arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired. His identity was not mentioned.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
