The deadly fiery collision occurred at about 7:00 p.m. on June 21 on Panorama Point Road south of Kimberly Road, near railroad tracks.

Anderson, CA – One man was killed, and another suffered major injuries in a fiery head-on collision Sunday evening southeast of Anderson, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on June 21, 2026, on Panorama Point Road south of Kimberly Road, near railroad tracks.
CHP investigators said a GMC Yukon SUV, operated by a 25-year-old Anderson man, was traveling northbound on Panorama Point when, for some reason, it crossed over the double-yellow centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Paul Pascual Jr., 77, of Cottonwood
Following the impact, the SUV rolled over and came to rest on the railroad tracks, where it caught fire. The driver of the Yukon sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pascual Jr. suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to CHP, neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have contributed to the crash.
The collision remains under investigation
