Victorville, CA – The authorities have identified a passenger who was killed in a crash that left two toddlers with critical injuries on Village Drive in Victorville on Friday afternoon.
The San Bernardino County Medical Examiner’s office identified the passenger as Kelvin Winston Jr., a 34-year-old resident of Victorville.
The deadly crash happened at about 3:28 p.m. on June 19, 2026, on Village Drive near Amargosa Road, close to Llanada Avenue.
Winston Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

Victorville, CA – At least one person was killed, and several others were injured, including two toddlers who were critically hurt, in a two-vehicle crash in Victorville on Friday afternoon, according to authorities.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, on Village Drive near Amargosa Road, close to Llanada Avenue.
Police said a dark blue 2013 Hyundai Elantra and a black Toyota Camry were involved in the crash. Â One occupant was reportedly ejected during the collision. An occupant of the Hyundai became trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person may have died in the crash, but no official communication regarding the fatality has been released. Two toddlers suffered critical injuries and were airlifted to area hospitals. At least two other victims sustained life-threatening injuries. The total number of people transported for treatment was not immediately available.
Firefighters from the Victorville Fire Department responded to the scene along with multiple ground ambulances and air medical crews. Due to the severity of the crash and the number of victims, officials upgraded the incident to a mass casualty incident. Two medical helicopters were dispatched to transport the critically injured children and assist with the emergency response.
The collision forced the closure of Village Drive in all directions while investigators examined the scene and emergency crews assisted victims and cleared the wreckage.
The crash remains under investigation. Sheriff’s officials have not yet released additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
