Sacramento County, CA – Two people were injured in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that happened Tuesday morning at an intersection in the North Highlands area of Sacramento County.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the wreck took place around 8:11 a.m. on June 16, 2026, at Elkhorn Boulevard and 32nd Street.
A white semi-truck reportedly ran the red light and collided with a gray Lexus sedan. The vehicles were left blocking two left lanes.
At least one person was trapped inside the Lexus.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked multiple lanes at the intersection.
The crash resulted in major injuries. Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
