Phoenix, AZ – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver early Tuesday morning near an intersection in west Phoenix, authorities reported.
The incident took place around 2 a.m. on June 16, 2026, near 57th Avenue and McDowell Road.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the pedestrian was crossing mid-block when he was hit by a car.
The unidentified pedestrian suffered fatal injuries. Responding Phoenix Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
