Phoenix, AZ – A woman died after she was struck by a Valley Metro bus Thursday near an intersection in Phoenix, authorities reported.
The incident transpired on May 28 near 59th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
According to Phoenix police, the bus was turning onto a Loop 202 freeway access when it hit the pedestrian as she was crossing the street.
First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The driver was the only occupant on the bus.
Authorities are investigating to establish the factors surrounding the accident.
