San Diego, CA – The person who died following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in San Diego late Sunday night has been identified, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 25-year-old Zachary Ryan Goodall. Authorities said Goodall was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision.

Goodall suffered critical injuries in the crash and was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead at 12:47 a.m. on June 15. Authorities said next-of-kin notifications have been completed. Information regarding injuries to other occupants was not immediately available.
The cause of the two-vehicle collision has not been determined. Investigators have not released details regarding the circumstances that caused one of the vehicles to leave the roadway.
California Highway Patrol officers, San Diego Police Department personnel, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene and conducted rescue operations before transporting the injured victim to the hospital.
