Quincy, WA – One person was injured in a collision involving a big rig near Quincy in Grant County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident took place on State Route 28 near Road U.7 Northwest at around 1:45 p.m. on June 2.

Authorities reported that a sedan, for unspecified reasons, crashed into the rear of a semi-truck near the intersection. The WSP was still working to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.

According to the report, one person riding in the sedan had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee for treatment. No one else was hurt in the accident.

It was unclear whether impairment played any role in the collision. The highway was temporarily shut down for hours as authorities worked at the scene.
