According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the incident was reported just after 11 a.m. on May 28 in the 4600 block of Chateau Drive near Genesee Avenue.

San Diego, CA – Six people were hospitalized after two vehicles collided, and one of them slammed into a nearby home, Thursday morning in the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego.

According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the incident was reported just after 11 a.m. on May 28 in the 4600 block of Chateau Drive near Genesee Avenue.

The crash involved a red Tesla sedan and a gray Mercedes-Benz car. Authorities said the vehicles collided, and the Tesla veered off the roadway into a nearby home.

The Tesla was occupied by four adults and a child, and the Mercedes was occupied by the adult driver.

All six occupants were hospitalized. Two of them sustained major injuries, and the other four suffered minor injuries.

It was unclear if the home was occupied at the time of the crash.

The San Diego Police Department is investigating the collision.
