San Jose, CA – At least one person was injured in a four-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday night on Interstate 280 in San Jose, as per California Highway Patrol logs.
The pileup was reported around 9:22 p.m., May 5, in the southbound lanes of I-280 just north of the 11th Street on-ramp.
Authorities responded to the area and found a white BMW with moderate front-end damage, a black Tesla Model Y with major all-over damage, a silver 2024 Toyota SUV with major all-over damage, and a Chevrolet Corvette with major front- and rear-end damage.
Emergency personnel responded and evaluated the motorists. At least one person was treated for minor injuries. It was unclear if the patient was hospitalized.
All the vehicles were towed away from the crash scene.
Several lanes remained blocked following the crash.
CHP is investigating the incident.
