Antioch, CA – A woman died after being hit by a vehicle earlier this month in Antioch, the Antioch Police Department reported.
The incident took place at about 8 a.m. on April 17, at Country Hills Drive and Wolverine Way.
According to Antioch police, a woman was walking in the area when she was hit by a vehicle. The exact circumstances under which the incident happened were still under investigation.
Police and emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after and found the pedestrian with major injuries.
The victim was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
The driver of the involved vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene. According to police, the driver cooperated with investigators and was not arrested.
