South San Francisco, CA – At least one person was injured following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in South San Francisco on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The minor injury collision happened at about 1:48 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in the northbound lanes of US-101 at the Grand Avenue off-ramp.
Two Vehicles, described as a white Toyota RAV4 and a blue Nissan sedan, were involved in the incident, according to CHP. Responding crews found the vehicles in the general-purpose lanes, initially blocking the number 3, 4, and 5 lanes of the freeway.
At least one person sustained minor injuries in the crash. The driver of the Toyota RAV4 reportedly complained of feeling dizzy after the impact. Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene to evaluate the occupants. No arrests were reported in connection with the incident.
The California Highway Patrol and emergency medical services responded to the scene. Officers coordinated with multiple towing services to remove the blue Nissan from the roadway.
The crash impacted northbound traffic on Highway 101 for approximately an hour, with three lanes blocked while authorities managed the scene. The roadway was officially declared clear, and all lanes were reopened by 2:49 p.m.
The South San Francisco crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
