San Jose, CA – A driver was arrested after striking and injuring two pedestrians in San Jose on Thursday evening, the San Jose Police Department reported.

At around 7:24 p.m. April 23, authorities responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian collision in the 2300 block of Carlton Avenue.

Initial reports indicate that two pedestrians were walking in the area when a vehicle hit them. Details on how the victims were struck and whether they were in a marked crosswalk were not immediately released.

San Jose police and emergency personnel arrived at scene shortly after receiving reports of the accident and rendered aid the the injured pedestrians.
