Woodland Hills, CA – The woman who was killed in a car accident in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles County on Wednesday morning has been identified.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Rosada Haines, 61, was the victim of the accident that took place on the Ventura (101) Freeway at the Valley Circle Drive at around 1:36 a.m. April 22.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a black SUV and a black sedan collided and came to a rest in the middle lanes of the northbound freeway. A black Dodge Charger and a dark sedan were also found to have collided several feet away.
Haines, who was riding in one of the vehicles, was declared deceased at the scene of the accident, according to the CHP.
The Los Angeles Fire Department transported one person to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The crash led to the closure of all freeway lanes for at least four hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
No additional details on the accident have been released. The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the deadly accident.
