Porterville, CA – At least one person was seriously hurt in a traffic collision that happened Monday morning in Porterville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities responded to Avenue 316 east of Road 216, where the wreck occurred around 11:16 a.m. on April 21.
A compact sedan and a semi-truck were involved in the accident. A party reporting the crash told authorities that the sedan moved into the lane of the semi-truck. A large amount of diesel from one of the vehicles spilled onto the roadway and nearby fields.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the accident, as per the report.
Tulare County Environmental Health dispatched a team to the scene to help contain the diesel.
The sedan was towed away with major crash damage.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
