Davis, CA – The UC Davis student who was killed in a bicycle accident near the campus on Monday afternoon has been identified by the Solano County Coroner’s Office.

Lincoln Sabini, 20, died following the collision that occurred at about 3 p.m. April 13, on Hutchison Drive near the West Village area.

Initial reports indicate that Sabini was riding a bike in the area when he was hit by a vehicle. The circumstances under which the crash occurred were still under investigation.

Police and emergency crews immediately responded to the site of the accident and found the severely injured bicyclist.

Medics rushed Sabini to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, where Sabini was later pronounced deceased.

There were no details on the car’s driver and no arrests or citations were reported in connection with the crash.

No additional information on the incident were released. The UC Davis Police Department is working to establish the exact cause of the deadly bike accident.
