Davis, CA – A UC Davis student was killed in a bicycle collision near the campus on Monday afternoon, according to the UC Davis Police Department.

At about 3 p.m. April 13, authorities responded to reports of a collision on Hutchison Drive near the West Village area.

A student was reportedly riding a bike in the area when they were hit by a vehicle. The circumstances under which the incident took place were still under investigation.

Police and emergency personnel immediately responded to the scene of the collision and found the severely injured bicyclist.

Medics rushed the victim to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, where they were later pronounced deceased. The victim’s name was not immediately disclosed by the authorities.
