Indio, CA – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after colliding with an SUV late Monday night near an intersection in Indio.
According to the Indio Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:47 p.m. Monday, May 18, near Avenue 42 and Golf Center Parkway.
Police said the motorcyclist and the driver of an SUV were traveling in unspecified directions when they collided.
The rider suffered moderate non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment.
The SUV driver did not suffer any injuries.
Investigators do not believe impairment was a contributing factor, but an investigation is ongoing.
