Fresno, CA – A man riding a motorbike was killed after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in northeast Fresno Friday night, according to the Fresno Police Department.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on May 15, 2026, near Gettysburg Avenue and Millbrook Avenue.
Investigators said a woman was driving a vehicle northbound on Millbrook Avenue when she veered into a bike lane and struck the man riding the motorbike. Responding officers arrived at the scene and found the vehicle with major front-end damage and the motorbike trapped underneath it.
Authorities said the motorbike rider was found pinned beneath the vehicle. Fresno Fire Department crews performed life-saving measures on the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
The female driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police later arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Fresno police officers and Fresno Fire Department personnel responded to the scene to assist with the emergency response and investigation.
The collision caused traffic disruptions in the area near Gettysburg and Millbrook while authorities processed the scene and gathered evidence.
The fatal Fresno crash remains under investigation by the Fresno Police Department.
