Morgan Hill, CA – Authorities are investigating after a scooter rider was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Morgan Hill.
According to the Morgan Hill Police Department, the wreck happened at about 8 p.m. April 5, in the 14000 block of Monterey Road.
Investigations revealed that a person on an electric scooter was hit by a vehicle in the area under unclear circumstances.
Police and emergency crews responded to the incident and located the victim with major injuries.
Medics performed life-saving measures on the victim but were unsuccessful. The victim died at the scene and their identity was not immediately released.
The driver remained at the scene after the accident. Authorities did not confirm whether alcohol or drugs played any role in the incident.
