Compton, CA – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle Saturday night on the 710 Freeway in Compton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Around 9:40 p.m. on April 4, authorities responded to the northbound 710 Freeway south of the Alondra Boulevard off-ramp after they were notified about a pedestrian accident.
The responders found a male pedestrian suffering what appeared to be minor injuries. The victim was conscious and breathing. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to provide medical aid. It was unclear if the patient was hospitalized.
The driver involved told authorities that the pedestrian ran quickly in front of the vehicle and could not avoid a collision.
