Paso Robles, CA – A crash involving multiple vehicles sent two people to a hospital with major injuries early Thursday morning in Paso Robles, according to the Paso Robles Police Department.
The wreck happened at around 5:21 a.m. March 26, on Highway 46 and Union Road.
Investigations into the incident reveal that three vehicles were involved in the incident. The three collided in the eastbound lanes of Highway 46 under unclear circumstances.
According to the Paso Robles police, two people were pinned inside one of the vehicles after the accident. Emergency responders helped extricate the two people who were trapped.
The extricated parties were then transported to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The other people involved in the accident were not transported.
The eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 46 were shut down for hours as authorities examined and cleared the scene. According to the California Highway Patrol, all lanes had reopened as of 8:19 a.m.
