The rider of the Kawasaki was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries

Willows, CA. – One person was killed in a crash involving a UTV on Friday in Willows.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on County Road 20 east of I-5.
Mattie Gunther, 18 of Orland was driving a Toyota sedan east when he collided with a Kawasaki utility terrain vehicle.
The rider of the Kawasaki was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.
Gunther remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
