Napa County, CA – Authorities are investigating a major injury accident that led to two juveniles being airlifted to hospitals on Tuesday evening in Napa County.
According to the Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit, the collision took place in the 400 block of Newton Way in Angwin at around 6:10 p.m. March 10.
Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle struck at least three juveniles in the area. Specific details on exactly what led up to the incident were not immediately available.
Cal Fire LNU crews and California Highway Patrol officers immediately responded to the scene after receiving reports of the accident.
Medics rendered aid to the injured victims before they were transported to hospitals. One of the minors was airlifted from the scene to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
A second juvenile was transported by ambulance to Angwin Airport, where they were loaded onto a helicopter and flown to UC Davis.
The third patient was transported by ground ambulance to a different hospital. Authorities did not release the victims’ identities and conditions as they were being transported.
No further information was immediately available and the California Highway Patrol is currently looking into the incident to determine what caused the crash.
