At around 11:30 a.m. on February 15, emergency crews were dispatched to Neighbors Boulevard and 15th Avenue after reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
Blythe, CA – Six people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Sunday morning at an intersection in Blythe, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
At around 11:30 a.m. on February 15, emergency crews were dispatched to Neighbors Boulevard and 15th Avenue after reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
The emergency personnel responded to find three cars and seven occupants involved in the collision. One of the occupants required extrication.
All the parties were evaluated at the scene for their injuries. Two of them were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. Four others were transported by ground ambulance with minor to moderate injuries. The seventh patient refused medical transportation.
The accident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.

According to data from the California Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS), serious car collisions in Blythe have been low and relatively stable, though small year-to-year changes occur due to the city’s small population. In 2022, the city reported no fatal or injury collisions, reflecting a temporary drop in reported serious crashes. By 2023, the count rose slightly to 3 victims killed or injured in serious collisions. Pedestrian involvement in serious crashes was recorded in 2023 with 3 victims, although in earlier years, pedestrians were not counted in the serious totals. Alcohol-involved and motorcycle-related serious collisions remained very low or absent in most of these years.
