Yakima, WA – A crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian sent one person to a hospital on Tuesday evening in Yakima.
According to a report by the Yakima Police Department, the incident transpired at around 6:48 p.m. February 10, on East Nob Hill Boulevard and East 4th Street.
Preliminary reports indicate that the man was trying to walk across East Nob Hill Boulevard near the Yakima Humane Society when he was struck by a vehicle. It’s unclear whether the victim was in the crosswalk when the accident occurred.
Yakima police officers as well as emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after receiving reports of the collision.
Medics transported the pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of his injuries.
The extent of injuries sustained by the pedestrian was not specified in the YPD report. The identities of both the pedestrian and the involved driver were also not released.
The crash caused road closures on East Nob Hill Boulevard as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
