Fallbrook, CA – A collision between two vehicles sent one person to a hospital in Fallbrook on Monday evening, according to California Highway Patrol logs.

The crash was first reported at around 5:16 p.m. February 9, at 1865 Rice Canyon Road.

The CHP report indicates that at least two vehicles were involved in the collision. The actions that led to the crash were still undetermined at the time of the report.

CHP officers and the North County Fire Protection District units responded to the site of the accident.

Medics evaluated the parties involved in the crash and one person was transported to a hospital by ambulance. There was no update on the condition of the hospitalized patient.

As medics attended to the patients at the scene and firefighters removed debris and vehicles from the scene, Rice Canyon Road remained partially shut down for an unspecified period of time.

Two vehicles were not driveable after the accident and had to be transported by flatbed tow trucks from the scene.

Additional information on the incident have not yet been made available. The California Highway Patrol is currently working to establish what led up to the wreck.
