Glendale, CA – Investigations are underway into a collision involving a Metrolink train that left at least one person dead in Glendale on Wednesday morning.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident occurred at about 9 a.m. February 4, on West Broadway and San Fernando Road.
Authorities reported that a vehicle ended up on the train tracks and was hit by the train, which was bound for downtown Los Angeles. The report did not indicate why the vehicle was on the train’s path.
The Los Angeles firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene just after 9:30 a.m. and helped those involved in the accident.
One person was declared deceased at the scene. The victim’s name, age, and gender were not released.
At least one other party was injured in the crash but their condition and details on whether they were hospitalized were not immediately available.
